This 40’x64’ bank barn was built in the late as a Salt box style barn. A salt box barn has a roof line that slopes longer to one side similar to the “salt box” that was used to hold salt in farm house kitchens. All the timbers in this barn were a full 12”x12” thick. Around 1890 a major renovation occurred at the barn. The roof line was raised to a gable roof and a new slate roof and siding was installed. OVBS sold the frame as a new Barn Home located in Reynoldsburg,Ohio. OVBS performed complete clean up services.
